Entry Four: More Leads to Nowhere

Thank you all who were involved for helping me figure out the letter. I’ll keep everyone updated on what this S.H. or F.U. has to say to me/us.  I saw the creature again, out by my barn this time.  As usual, it ran away.  It’s been like this since I first saw it, always a glimpse, then it runs off.  but this time it lingered a few seconds before it ran away... It’s so cold...  Normally I love the snow, here in alabam, we hardly get snow.  So it is usually a nice surprise.  But this is... different.  For starters it’s so cold inside, and the heat is on.  Plus, everywhere around the snow is almost pitch black, even with the area lights outside.  It’s only eight o’clock.  Not nearly time for the level of darkness the frigid air seems to be bringing.  Call me paranoid, but I think this thing can control the ice.  It has always felt ice-cold every time I dream, and the temperatures seem to drop whenever I see it.  I did some research on ice spirits/things since the letter talks about this thing being some kind of spawn of an ancient evil.  It seems as though each culture has their own version of this creature, but one that jumped out at me were the native americans.  The native tribes have different names for it, wendigo, chenoo, giwakwa, kiwakwa, and they all involve some act of cannibalism, normally the eating of hearts..  another strange creature, the mahaha, moves with the snow and tickles people to death with its long claws..  I think perhaps all these mythologies have a bit of the puzzle.  Now I’m not saying we’re dealing with some kind of crazy native american demon, not at all.  What I am saying is, seeing as how the Indians were in tune with nature and animals, I think that maybe they saw the wombat through the centuries, and their mythologies developed over time based on how they saw it.  I’ll keep doing research, hopefully S.H. or F.U. or whatever his name is will read this, and shed light on the situation.  Regardless I’m scared now, I looked out my window and thought I saw something running. I hope we get some info soon.  I’m going to tell everyone in the group about this tonight.  I’ll try to keep all of you updated as well.
